Water Leak Detection & Repair in Ipswich

We begin with a non-invasive inspection of your water services to determine if there is a leak present and identify whether its on the supply side or property side. We will notify you the size of the leak, this will require temporary isolation of the property’s water and the next steps required to resolve the leak. 

This cost does not include any detailed reports or repair works on leaks found (this would be an agreed extra before repair work is carried out).

We begin with a detailed assessment to determine the extent of the leak and identify its source. Using tools like thermal imaging cameras, acoustic detection devices, tracer gas detection devices and moisture meters, we locate the position of the leak. We then expose the leak and at this point a Trace and Access report will be provided.

This cost is for Trace and Access to all internal pipework and mains supply pipework up to 20 meters in length, there is an additional £40+ VAT charge for every additional meter of mains supply pipework. Trace and Access does not include any repair works. Any areas exposed to access a leak would be made good to prevent slip, trip and fall hazards.    

Upon detection and exposure of the leak during a Trace and Access, we provide a detailed report that outlines our findings known as a Trace and Access report, this can be submitted to your insurance company. If you have Trace and Access on your insurance policy this element and cost is usually covered by the insurance company, but you need to inform your insurance company before-hand.

Repair and prevention costs includes making good on completion the area exposed. It does not include finished floor surfaces (tiling, carpets, floor tiles, lino…….etc), plastering, driveway repairs (block paving, tarmac, concrete printed surfaces), re-turfing gardens or replacing flowers/trees that may need removing and removal of dig out spoil.
